• The Highlighter Side relies on a Hydrogenated Polyisobutene and Isononyl Isononanoate base. These are lightweight, non-comedogenic emollients that provide an initial "slip" without greasiness. The inclusion of Microcrystalline Wax and Carnauba Wax creates a high-melting-point network, meaning this pencil will not bend or break in warm pockets, yet the moment it touches skin (at 32°C), it melts into a buttery, semi-solid film. The addition of Silica and Dimethicone Crosspolymer acts as a "texture balancer"—it absorbs excess surface oil while the esters provide moisture, resulting in a velvety cream that feels like nothing on the fingertips.
• The Contour Side opts for Candelilla Wax (a vegan, rigid wax) paired with Phenyl Trimethicone (a high-spread silicone). This creates a stiffer, "dryer" cream than the highlighter. Why? Because a contour needs to "grip" the skin to create the illusion of a shadow. The dryness prevents the contour from sliding downwards into your smile lines, while the Hydrogenated Soybean Oil ensures it remains malleable enough to buff out with a brush.

Coupled with the Vinyl Dimethicone/Methicone Silsesquioxane Crosspolymer in the highlighter, this pencil resists creasing and fading for 8+ hours. It sets via "crystal suspension"—the waxes cool and lock the pigments in place, meaning once you blend, it stops moving.
• Buildability: Unlike a liquid that goes from 0 to 100 instantly, the wax-to-oil ratio allows for layering. You can draw a light line for a soft, daytime sculpt, or layer it three times for a dramatic, editorial cut-cheek, without the product pilling or cracking.

• The Highlighter Finish (Wet-Look Radiance, NOT Glitter): The highlighter utilizes Synthetic Fluorphlogopite—a high-purity, ultra-fine synthetic mica. Unlike natural mica, this has perfectly uniform edges, which means it reflects light in a singular, luminous beam rather than scattering it into chunky sparkles. The Titanium Triisostearate coating on the pigments enhances their adherence to the skin, preventing the "fallout" effect. The result is a glossy, wet-looking sheen that looks like molten metal on the cheekbones, devoid of frostiness, thanks to the warm undertones of CI 77491 (Iron Oxide) that ground the white titanium dioxide.
• The Contour Finish (Soft-Matte, Skin-Like Shadow): This side is meticulously calibrated to avoid the "orange" or "ashy" trap. By blending CI 77499 (Black Iron Oxide) with CI 77491 (Red) and CI 77492 (Yellow), they have created a rich, neutral taupe-bronze. Crucially, the inclusion of Silica and the high Titanium Dioxide content in the contour act as optical diffusers. As you blend the contour into the skin, the silica microspheres scatter light, creating a soft-focus blur effect.
