PRECAUTIONS

The "Biome" Warning (Patch Test)
While Ganoderma (Reishi) and Matsutake extracts are incredible adaptogens, they are fungal/mushroom derivatives. If you have a known sensitivity to fungi or molds, perform a patch test on the inside of your wrist for 24 hours. The Myrothamnus Flabellifolia (Resurrection Plant) extract is highly active; on severely compromised or cracked lips, it may cause a mild tingling sensation as it stimulates cellular water uptake. If this persists beyond 2 minutes, discontinue use.

The Silicone "Trap" Rule
The high concentration of Dimethicone and its crosspolymers create an occlusive film. This is a double-edged sword:

DO NOT apply this balm over dirty lips or leftover matte lipstick. The silicone will trap bacteria, dead skin, and old pigment against your mucosa, potentially causing milia (tiny white bumps) along the vermilion border.
DO NOT apply to wet, dripping lips. Water trapped under this heavy silicone film cannot evaporate, which may lead to maceration (over-softening) of the lip skin. Always blot lips dry before application.

The "Staining" Factor
Shades containing CI 15850 (a red lake pigment) and CI 42090 (blue lake) are highly staining. While this provides long-lasting "lip tattoo" color, these pigments can settle into fine lines if applied carelessly. Avoid rubbing your lips aggressively together immediately after application, as friction can push the pigment unevenly into lip wrinkles.

Storage
The formula contains Jojoba and Meadowfoam Seed Oils—natural lipids prone to oxidation.

Store below 30°C (86°F). Heat will cause the synthetic waxes (Tribehenin) to melt and separate from the silica powder, resulting in a grainy texture.
