    Because this product contains specific pigments, fragrances, and film-forming agents, it is important to follow these safety guidelines:

    Patch Test (For Sensitive Skin)

    • Why: The lipstick contains Fragrance (Parfum) and various pigments (like CI 15850, which is a red lake pigment) that can be potential irritants for those with very sensitive skin or allergies.
    • How: Apply a small amount of the product to the inside of your elbow or behind your ear. Leave it for 24 hours to check for any redness, itching, or irritation before applying it to your lips.

    Avoid Open Wounds or Irritated Lips

    • Why: If your lips are chapped, cracked, or sunburned, the Film-Formers (Styrene/Butopadiene Copolymer, Rosin) and Waxes can seal the area, potentially trapping bacteria or causing further irritation. The texture may also emphasize dry patches.

    Sun Protection (Lip Care)

    • Why: While the formula contains CI 77891 (Titanium Dioxide) , which offers some physical UV protection, it is not a substitute for a dedicated lip balm with SPF. The pigments can sometimes make lips more susceptible to pigmentation changes if exposed to heavy sun.
    • Tip: Use a lip balm with SPF underneath if you plan to be in direct sunlight for long periods.

    Ingestion

    • Why: Ingredients like BHT are used as preservatives/antioxidants. While safe in cosmetic amounts for topical use, it is not meant to be eaten.
    • Tip: Avoid heavy application right before eating a meal that involves a lot of lip contact, or blot the lipstick before eating to minimize ingestion.

    Storage
