PRECAUTIONS (Formulation-Specific)

These go beyond standard "avoid eye contact" – they are derived from the wax‑silicone‑polymer hybrid system.

The “Wax Bloom” Warning (Formula 1 – Definer)

Phenomenon: The high content of Hydrogenated Palm Kernel Oil, Candelilla Wax, and Synthetic Japan Wax can develop a white, powdery film (called fat bloom) if stored above 30°C (86°F) or exposed to temperature cycling.
Precaution: Do not store in a hot car or bathroom cabinet near a radiator. If bloom appears, gently warm the tip with a hairdryer (low heat, 2 seconds) or swipe on the back of your hand – the wax will re‑melt and the colour returns.

Silicone Volatility & Eye Sensitivity (Formula 2 – Tint)

Phenomenon: Isododecane and Cyclopentasiloxane evaporate rapidly. Vapours can irritate the lacrimal gland (tear duct) if applied too close to the waterline.
Precaution: Keep the tint application at least 1mm away from the lash line / inner waterline. If your eyes water excessively during use, you are applying too close. Stop, remove, and reapply further out.

The “Over‑Lamination” Risk (Combining both formulas)

Phenomenon: Formula 2 forms a strong film (Hydrogenated Styrene/Isoprene Copolymer + Trimethylsiloxysilicate). If you repeatedly re‑apply Formula 2 over itself without removing the previous layer, you build a thick, rigid shell that can crack and flake – looking like dry skin.
Precaution: Do not layer more than 2 coats of the Tint side within 24 hours. For touch‑ups, use only the Definer (Formula 1) or remove fully with oil‑based cleanser before reapplying the Tint.

Color Shift on Oily Skin (Especially shades 10 & 11)

Phenomenon: The CI 15850 (Red 6 Lake) in shades 10 Cherry Blossom Pink and 11 Muted Purple is an organic pigment that can migrate when dissolved in excess sebum. It may appear warmer (more pink) after 4–6 hours on very oily lids.
Precaution: Prime the brow area with a translucent powder or mattifying eye primer before applying the Definer, especially for these two shades.

Allergy Alert (Rosin in shades 08 & 11)

Ingredient: Rosin (Colophonium) appears only in 08 Dusty Rose Brown and 11 Muted Purple. It is a known contact allergen (common in adhesives, violin rosin).
Precaution: If you have a known allergy to pine resin, adhesive tape, or lash glue, avoid shades 08 and 11. Perform a 48‑hour patch test on the inner arm before first use.

General Safety

Do not wet the pencil or add water/mixers – the wax and silicone systems are anhydrous and will repel water, causing clumping.
